Choose One Of Our Pre-Planned Half-Days
Shenandoah River
Morgans Ford to Farms Riverview
Distance: 4.75 miles
Time: 1-3 hours (depending on flow)
Cost: Starting at $425 per private trip
Group Size: 2-18 guests
Our go-to river float during the low flows of summer and fall. Riffles, pools and two ledge-drops provide navigational entertainment and variety for rafters and paddlers. This section of river is bordered by farms and forest on the left, a few cabins and the Blue Ridge Mountain on the right and makes a perfect place to spend a relaxing half day on the river sightseeing, swimming or exploring. 2-3 hour trip at low summer flow.
Guests can expect to see the large hunting birds in action, as well as riparian bird species and the occasional large mammal like deer, bear and beaver. Don't forget to ask us about the rich history of human inhabitation and commerce along this stretch of river.
Shenandoah River
Farms Riverview to Berry's Ferry
Distance: 6.5 miles
Time: 2-4 hours (depending on flow)
Cost: Starting at $425 per private trip
Group Size: 2-18 guests
This lazy river section flows between farmland and the Blue Ridge Mountain. Much like our Morgans Ford To Farms Riverview Float except a little longer for spring or early summer half day trips that last 2-3 hours.
Notable sights include the Treasure Island Channel (levels permitting), an old stone mill foundation, lovers leap, Whitehorse Rock (surveyed by George Washington himself) Larry's Peninsula and the Blue Ridge Mountains in the backdrop.
Potomac River
Harpers Ferry Featuring "The Needles & Whitehorse"
Distance: 3.5 miles
Time: 2-4 hours (depending on flow)
Cost: Starting at $425 per private trip
Group Size: 2-18 guests
Big river, bigger views, lots of boat maneuvering through mini islands and rock outcroppings. Plus this float takes guests through the historic "cliffy" Harper's Ferry Pass and by the confluence with the Shenandoah. Super popular with kids because the river is more active than the Shenandoah and is still great for swimming in the summer. This stretch of river is very busy on weekends June - August.
All the big waterbirds call this home including eagles, heron, geese, many duck species, cormorants, buzzards!, and there are now THREE WILD PAIR OF BREEDING PEREGRINE FALCONS nesting in the cliffs for lucky guests to see.
